Hello @ShaikShameer ,

Please refer to this closed thread related to WebView2 error. https://community.fabric.microsoft.com/t5/Desktop/WebView2-error-message/td-p/2415273

You could try the workaround mentioned in the solution.

Hope it helps!

Hey @ShaikShameer,

This error usually happens because Power BI Desktop relies on WebView2 (for visuals, report view, etc.), and if WebView2 is missing, outdated, or corrupted, Power BI struggles to load properly. The “Value cannot be null” part is a side-effect of that failure.

How to fix it:

  1. Update Power BI Desktop to the latest version.

  2. Repair or reinstall Microsoft Edge WebView2 Runtime from Microsoft’s site.

  3. Clear the Power BI cache folder (AnalysisServicesWorkspaces).

  4. Run Power BI Desktop as Administrator to avoid permission issues.

  5. If nothing helps, do a clean uninstall and reinstall Power BI Desktop.

This should stabilize the app and prevent those random shutdowns.
