HOW TO INSTALL MYSQL CONNECTOR on POWER BI (File>Get Data>mySQL db)

HELP! Installed MS Power BI Desktop so I can explore features using SQL data but I'm STUCK on this error:

I then select the URL on the dialog box and takes me here - MySQL :: Download MySQL Installer
I run the msi and install all the relevant connectors (for Win11 x64 OS)

I restart my machine 

I open Power BI Desktop 

I go to File > Get Data > mySQL database - SAME ERROR (WTH?!)

If anyone has experienced this issue and has a solution, I'd love some feedback. @Microsoft you need to fix this or provide a simpler solution via your KB.

Hi @DataVitalizer 

Unfortunately no. These fixes suggest either x64 or earlier version of the mySQL connector but no luck. I suspect this is a bug that was likely caused by an infamous MSUS update that's killing applications without any awareness. 

Oh well, another application crossed off the MS list lol
