I'm having a problem with sorting and grouping summary tasks and task. I have multiple projects (P4W) and the download MS P4W dashboard. I just want a simple way to format the visual in the same way the project does (see below) using expandable hierarchy.
I can't find a column in the Project Task Table that I can sort by. Is there a way to create a hierarchy that look similar to projects.
The subtasks (Projects and Annual Activates) in P4W are not grouped and listed as tasks in the Power BI visual.

Good Morning fm114fm,
Great question,
To create the hierarchy, you need to shape your data so you have one column for your parent items (Projects, Annual Activities) and one column for all of the child tasks (Medium Impact Complaint, Maintain GO GOP TO and TP Applcation Standards Matrix, Draft project coordination... etc)
The table should look something like this:
Parent Task, Child Task
Projects, Medium Impact Complaint
Projects, Maintain GO GOP TO and TP Applcation Standards Matrix
Projects, Draft project coordination...
Where you make sure to repeat the Parent Task on each record.
I hope this helps. Good luck!
