I have a HANA view parameter with a default value. when I open this HANA view with PowerBI it recognises the default value and showing in parameter screen but when I select any field its throwing an error message " Unexpected error: Value cannot be null".
Samething works in AFO (Analysis for Office)...Please advise if anyone faced this similar issue before and a possible solution. Thanks

Hi @Anonymous,
Which version of power bi desktop you test? Can you please provide some detail information to help clarify your issue?

I have the exact same issue with a default value in a variable from a HANA view. Is this issue solved?
When I clear the default option (and have no selections), I can import the data. When I make any chosen selection, the import dumps with the described message. Even if I adapt my HANA view and remove the default value, the parameter causes this issue during import of the data.
I'm on Version: 2.65.5313.841 64-bit (december 2018).
