Hi,
I have HANA Calculation View (say CV2), which has Input Parameter (IP_Year) (Multiple Entries Enabled) and I am trying to consume the same in Power BI Desktop via Direct Query.
When I am giving multiple values (2020,2021) to IP_Year from Power BI Desktop, it is only accepting the first value (2020) and showing 2020 data by ignoring the other value specified in IP_Year i.e., 2021
When we do data preview on CV2 in HANA, multiple values works perfectly fine in HANA Studio data preview. i.e., When 2020,2021 is provided for IP_Year it works fine within HANA.
In HANA, the Input Parameter IP_Year in CV2 is passed down to an underlying HANA view (CV1) using Input Parameter mapping.
Suspecting that the query from Power BI sends Multiple values in a different format which cannot ideally be passing across views in HANA.
My requirement to use only Direct Query option for HANA in Power BI desktop.
Has anyone faced this scenario? Any recommendations?
HANA Version - 2.0 SPS04
PowerBI Desktop Version - May 2021
Hi @Jash776
Please refer this about how to connect to SAP HANA data sources by using DirectQuery in Power BI.
You can treat SAP HANA as a multi-dimensional source or a relational source.
