Hi all,
When using grouping on fields (https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/desktop-grouping-and-binning) PowerBi is no longer remembering the edits that are being made.
For example, if I edit an existing group and make a new grouping, this will be successfully applied to the report - but should I need to go back and make further edits in the same group, then the previous new grouping will no longer be remembered, and the report will revert back to how it was when I originally loaded it.
If I make the edits, save - exit and then reload the report, then these changes are saved and remembered, but that's not ideal.
Any suggestions as to why this is happening? It previously worked fine (in September 2019) so strange that it has developed this issue (across all reports) since then.
I have the same issue....Already installed latest version of Desktop.
What's happening ? This used to function really well.
Hi @Anonymous ,
By my test in the latest version 2.76.5678.782 of Power BI Desktop, the Group feature works well. You may upgrade the Power BI Desktop, and try it again.
Best Regards,
Amy

I am using that version; and it doesn't work for me - I have tried a reset/reinstall and still no joy.
I can make edits, but they are forgotten if I have to make further edits to the same group; this was not an issue previously.
Looks to be similar to this issue: https://community.powerbi.com/t5/Desktop/Creating-Groups-not-saving-edits/m-p/886482
