Grouping dynamically by measure value

Hello,

I have a FC, Budget, and Actuals tables connected to a chart of accounts dimension, calendar dimension, and a vendor dimension. (there are more dimensions but keeping it simple for this discussion).

I use slicers to let the user pick on what scenario (FC, ACTUAL, Budget) they would like to variance.

The slicer selection drives the measure to calculate the amount and variance from the scenarios.

These results are displayed in a waterfall chart, and a table.

There are many accounts from the chart of accounts dimension with small variances. My goal is create a measure that will dynamically group accounts with small variances into a "other" bucket. For example if the absolute variance is less than 5,000, then change the account name to "other".  Keep in mind that depending on what scenrio, year, month is choosen, the accounts that get classified to "other" will change.

I do not want to create a calculated table combining all scenarios, all accounts, and vendors. That would be to easy 🙂

Is there a way to do this with a measure ?

Thanks

Hi razgrid,

<---- Could you share some dummy data and clarify more details about your expected result?
