Grouping duplicates

Hi, I have a column called name with duplicates and I want to create the group column which assigns a number to records of the same duplicate group. 

name	group
A	1
A	1
B	2
B	2
C	3
C	3
C	3
E	4
F	5
G	6
G	6
H	7
I	8
