Grouping dates in a table

Hello all i have a table that looks like this 

 

date    | account name | amount 

1/2/24 | John Smith.    | $33.90

1/2/24| Amanda adams| $55.90

1/2/24 | Nick Johnson.  | $80.00

....plus more dates 

 

but i want the table to look like this 

date    | account name | amount 

1/2/24 | John Smith.    | $33.90

            | Amanda adams| $55.90

            |  Nick Johnson.  | $80.00

                               Total| $169.80

Look at using a matrix visual with the stepped layout - https://www.popautomation.com/post/power-bi-matrix-to-tabular

You can additionally remove the +/- buttons in the formatting pane under the Row headers section.
