Just wanted to check when you created a measure table, in the starting you must have had a single column in this measure table right?
Did you Hide this column or remove this column?
You may be getting this issue because you may have removed this one and only column from you measure table. Idellay you should hide it rather than removing it.

Many thanks, Pragati, yes I did remove the column as I have always done in the past. Let me try and rebuild the measure tables after moving the measures to the main table and i will give you a shout.
