Group rows in table based on identical values in a column

Hello all,

In Power BI desktop, there is a table with ID and many other columns.

I need help in making group.

In table visual, is it possible to group same(identical) values in a cloumn to group or highlet with a color as shown below.

Please help me to solve and suggest possibilities.

Thank you for your time.

Hi @Krishna09

You can use a Matrix visual with a hierarchical form to group the values:

Thank you very much for quick reply. I tried this, it works only for two columns. In this visual there are around 10 columns. so it does not work.

If I use Matrix, these IDs are unique, but I want to show in multiple lines( if the table contains 2 similar id then two of them, if three similar id then three rows with this id information.). is it possible?

Hi @Krishna09 ,

The only thing I can think of to highlight rows in a table is through conditional formatting? Depending on the number of unique items in a column you have, it will be a tedious job as you also need to apply each conditional format to every column/measure in your table visual.

@danextianThank you very much for quick response.

this data is updated every day, every time it upddats, it may have new ids and there are more than 1000 unique ids. How is it possible to do conditional formating?
