Group Columns to Show / Hide

Hi

I'm looking to create a table in which I can show / hide columns depending on what the user wants to view.  For example

Group 1 - Field 1

                 Field 2

                 Field 3

Group 2 - Field 4

                 Field 5

                 Field 6

Group 3 - Field 7

Group 4 - Field 8

                 Field 9

Is this possible? From there I want buttons to either Show or Hide the columns (the group names don't need to appear in the table)

Thanks

Kev

  • Hi  kevbrown1980,

You can add a group column in your table like screenshot below.

And then you can show it in Matrix View which will have +/- symbol to show hide the rows

If you want to show hide the groups, you can go for adding a show hide button and use another table which doesn't have the group values in it (Use bookmarks to show/hide)

  • Hello kevbrown1980,

If you want buttons instead of slicers, use Bookmarks and Selection Pane to create different versions of the table with only the desired columns visible.

    • Go to View > Bookmarks and Save a Bookmark for each version.
    • Add Buttons that trigger bookmarks (Action > Bookmark).

    Hope this helps!
