Group Calculations in Matrix

Hi,

I new to Power BI and I would appreciate pointing me in the right direction to solve this issue.  Currently I am taking a report that was built in SSRS and converting to Power BI.  All is good except one column.  There are two columns that calculate the % out of the total grouping and displays it in the corresponding row called Model Total.

You can see in the screen capture the first item number with count of 2 is 12% out of 17 and the next item count of 5 is 29% of 17 and so on in the Model Total Column.  Is there anyway to do this in Power BI Matrix?  Also, is it possible the calculation only displays at the bottom level of the matrix?  Any help would be appreciated.  Thanks in advance.

Thanks,

Tim

  • Hi timstutzman,

In power bi, you can create a matrix chart and put your calculate column or measure [Model Total] into the value field, in addtion, you said " is it possible the calculation only displays at the bottom level of the matrix?", if you mean you want to display [Model Total] as a subtotal in power bi matrix chart, I'm afraid it can't be achieved because subtotal is automately summed up by power bi which can't be customized by user.
