I go through the documented steps to connect my Google Analytics account and then I get this in the Navigation window:
No errors come up during the process.
I've tried the following things and it's still happening
I don't know how to troubleshoot this because there aren't any errors, just a lack of selectable data. Is there a log somewhere where I can see what's happening?
Solved! Go to Solution.
I fixed it by setting up a UA Google Analytics property alongside my existing GA4 property. It seems that the connector only knows how to connect with UA, not GA4.
Hi, but now that GA will be killed soon, you would definitely need to export your GA4 data to PBI. By now, you have the 2.0 beta connector which is compatible with GA4 data, but apparently that one still has some issues. As a workaround, maybe you can connect your GA4 data using a 3rd party connector. I've tried windsor.ai, supemetrics and funnel.io. I stayed with windsor because it is much cheaper so just to let you know other options. In case you wonder, to make the connection first search for the GA4 connector in the data sources list:
After that, just grant access to your GA4 account using your credentials, then on preview and destination page you will see a preview of your GA4 fields:
There just select the fields you need. Finally, just select PBI as your data destination and finally just copy and paste the url on PBI --> Get Data --> Web --> Paste the url
