Hi,
Since this morning, I get the following error while trying to connect to Google Analytics resource : Access to resource is forbidden. It was working fine yesterday.
I try multiple GA accounts not related and it is not working.
Is it a temporary issue ?
Thanks,
Thibault
Hi @thibaultc ,
Another solution that worked for me once was to open the pBI file on an other laptop. Suddenly I could connect to GA. After saving the file and moving it to my work laptop everything worked fine again.
Hi @thibaultc ,
I still could not reproduce your problem until now...It may be related to the environment, account number and many other factors.
Maybe you could go to https://support.powerbi.com ,scroll down and click "CREATE SUPPORT TICKET" for further help.
Did I answer your question ? Please mark my reply as solution. Thank you very much.

This issue just started occurring today for all teams as well. In the past we encountered this error occassionally but we were always able to fix it by clearing permissions and re-adding. However, now that doesn't appear to work either. We did not upgrade to Google Analytics 4 so not sure if that would impact it. We've tried removing and restoring permissions in various ways, and also tried all privacy levels. But the issue persists.
Have there been any new developments or information that would help us resolve the issue? I've already gone through most of the threads that talk about clearing permissions. This isn't working to solve the problem now.
Hi @lbscolinc ,
I had the issue again today. I created a new Google account and assigned all GA properties to that account. Then refreshed PowerBI, logged in with the new account and that suddenly worked. Perhaps this works for you as well?
Best regards
Bas
Hi @thibaultc ,
Please take a look at these blogs for reference.

Thanks for you answers.
Yes, I have tried those solutions :
I have deleted the permissions to create them again. As it was not working for my main pro account, I tried with my personnal account to see if it was linked to permission in my pro account. In both case, I can't even load the list of available google analytics properties. I get the error message directly.
Is it working fine on your side ?
Thanks
@thibaultc yes working fine here, refreshing things as we speak.
Can you try and logout on all Google accounts via your browser?
Then log in to the correct account on your browser.
Then go into PowerBI, data source settings. Check whether you are looking at the data source settings in your file or whether there are global settings applied. Edit both connections (or just the one connection if there's only one). Set the privacy level to None.
Does that work?
Had the same issue. I think because of the new Google Analytics 4 release, Google changed their data policy. Because of this you need to login (via data source settings) and agree on the new policy in order for the connector to work again.
