Google Analytics . Access to the resource is forbidden

Hello,

We have an existing Power BI report on GA which suddenly doesn't work anymore (no changes made recently to the Power BI). Here is the issue when trying to refresh source queries:

"Expression.Error: Access to the resource is forbidden."

We cleared and reset credentials, tried with several accounts, all having access to GA reports, but without success.

To make sure of the credentials access and to test the API I also tried with the GA Query explorer, selecting the same dimensions/metrics than in the Power BI query and it's working fine there: https://ga-dev-tools.appspot.com/query-explorer/

I suspect a quota limit, with maybe a wrong error showing, but how can I be sure of that? How can I check current status versus quota for GA API?

Thank you

Hi @amaellaurier

I have the same issue. Did you finally solve it?

Any help would be really appreciated 🙂

Hi @amaellaurier ,

Please check if your license or account is expired.

Or check if the dataset contains data source which you have no access to .

If you still have this issue for Power BI, you'd better create a support ticket in Power BI Support to get further help.

Best Regards,

Amy

Hi @v-xicai ,

Thank you for your response.

If I follow your link for the support I get back here on the Power BI community website after a log in... every link I follow for suppor get me back here, am I missing something?

Regarding our issue, as I said I verified GA datasets access from outside of Power BI and it's working fine (using GA dashboard directly or the query explorer https://ga-dev-tools.appspot.com/query-explorer/)

Hi @amaellaurier ,

You can refer to link How to create a support ticket in Power BI .

Best Regards,

Amy
