Getting rid of live connection but keeping the visuals

I need to gut a report of a live connection to a dataset on the service while keeping all of the visuals, pages, bookmarks, and formatting. Then I need to recouple to a new dataflow I have created. I tried exporting a Power BI template, because I thought it would do what I need but it kept the live connection and seems to be just like a pbix. Is there any way to do this besides manually copying over visuals to a new report and going through a gauntlet of visual tweaking?

You could try this tool:
