Getting going, analysing area against core

Hello all,

A very new user here. Hope you're all well.
I'm trying to get my head around linking in multiple data files, that relate to constants, here Plot and Core are constants. I'm connecting these through model.

A bit of background, I'm exporting large amounts of data from parametric architectural models and I'm trying to replicate an existing excel schedule. See below.

Currently, I'd simply like to compress/calculate GEA to read by Core. How would I best go about this? Measure?

Power BI

Existing schedule. Any tips?

Many many thanks. Simon

  • simonpte sorry I have no idea what you are referring to. It will be easier if you throw sample data in an excel file and put your calculation there, I'm nowhere close to what you are looking for. Maybe someone else who understood your requirement can provide the solution.

      Hello parry2k - that's understandable. It's difficult to explain.

This forum is a tad annoying if you forget to log in, you lose all content on reply.

I've placed a simple excel file on wetransfer to explain.

The first two tabs are raw data drops containing similar information to each other with different purpose. They share data by Plot, Core, Use etc.

The third tab is a template I'd like to replicate in PowerBI. The aim is to calculate all the raw data together within each section.

      Example:

A total of all GEA by core in column C.

A total GEA, by AR (etc), by core, in column P.

Hopefully that process makes a little more sense.
Thank you very much in advance.

  • simonpte not sure what your actual requirement is? Can you please elaborate based on the sample data you provided?

  • Hello parry2k  thanks for the reply.

I'd like the GEA column to calculate multiple by core. So the table should just read with one 2A. Similar to the excel schedule example.

I guess measure is the tool. I've no idea where to begin and to build a table to reflect the example. I'd like the process to look for all core data (hundreds of data) and table out calculating all by core.

    Thank you. S
