Get value of a measure from another report

I have quite strange requirement and struggling to come up with the easiest way to acheive this. We have a couple of independent reports in different workspaces. However, we want to create dashboard to create some KPIs based on the measures in those datasets. The current dashboard is based on bringing the datasets as they are and do simple calculation using the existing measures. However, it is already getting bigger and slower. Now I got another request to include new KPI. What I actually want is just two measures from another report, show them in the dashboard and put a link to the report itself for anyone interested in the detail. I was wondering if ther is easier way to get the measures/values from another report/workspace instead of getting entire dataset just to use two measures.

I would appreciate any suggestions to acheive this. Thanks

You could create a composite model, importing the current tables and adding a live connection to a Power BI dataset through the Get Data button.
