Get data via CURL

Hello

Is it possible in Power BI get data using CURL command?

E.g. I can get data using this curl command:

curl -D- -u <username>:<password> -X GET -H "Content-Type: text/html" https://<MyWebSite>/<myPage>

Unfortunately I didn't find such option in Power BI...

Thank you,

Fyodor

Hi @fyodor,

Based on my research, cURL command is not supported by Power BI desktop right now.

Potentially via an R script step but I'm not sure that will work on refresh in the Service.

Hello Greg

Thank you for suggestion, but in this case I have to install and configure R, isn't it?

Is there any other possibility to get data using CURL command?

Hi there, checking in from 2021. Has there been any change to this, or does Power BI still not have support for cURL? Would be fantastic to run my query directly in Power BI, but currently have run with a keepalive with cURL since it's over 1.5 million rows, which I can then import to Power BI.

I haven't had any luck finding a solution for importing such large datasets into Power BI directly, using a "web" query as the source otherwise.

Thanks!

Bavid
