Get data from Excel - Microsoft.PowrBi.OleDb is not registered

When I try to get data from Excel it is giving an error "Microsoft.PowrBi.OleDb is not registered". Even the files that were working is now not working. I have the latest desktop version and have even tried going to file > options > data load and disabled the last two options.

I tried a simple excel file just countries and population with no calculations. Still getting the error.

Any help will be appreciated.

Hi @sananthv,

I think the issue may caused by the oledb connector. Perhaps you can try to fix or re-install the connector and power bi desktop.
