Get data: SharePoint List: Unable to connect
Hi AS_SI,
Thank you for reaching out to the Power BI community! It's great to see new members here!
Sharing a few tips that have helped me when trying to connect to data on a SharePoint site.
- Having owner permissions on the SharePoint site certainly helps - Edit permissions haven't always worked for me 🙂
- Check out the Microsoft Learn site list of data sources, and what is needed to connect - link is Power BI Data Sources Table
Now that you have the Power BI Data Sources Table, look up "SharePoint List" in the table.
Notice that connecting to a SharePoint List, requires you to have a personal gateway setup.
Another link to help you is the Use a Personal Gateways In Power BI - Install a Data Gateway (personal mode)
Please let me know how you go!
Best,
Kelly

Owner status confirmed. Gateway seems to be optional according to that data sources table.

Thanks for your detailed reply.
