Get Data Import not showing Stored Procedures, only Tables (SQL Server)
Hi All:
In Desktop, I go to Get Data > SQL Server > Import. I list my server and database name. When I click OK, I see a list of the tables in the database but none of the stored procedures. I have done this successfully manay times, but today no SPs.
Please advise.
Thanks
This is by design as the Power Query engine is showing objects against which it can generate select queries while a stored proc may or may not return data. If you have a stored proc that you want to use as the source for a model in import mode you can just specify the EXEC command plus any parameters by choosing Get Data -> SLQ Server and then clicking on the Advanced Option and entering the command to call the stored proc in the box for the SQL Statement.
