Get Data Import not showing Stored Procedures, only Tables (SQL Server)

Hi All:

In Desktop, I go to Get Data > SQL Server > Import.  I list my server and database name.  When I click OK, I see a list of the tables in the database but none of the stored procedures.  I have done this successfully manay times, but today no SPs.

Please advise.

Thanks

  • This is by design as the Power Query engine is showing objects against which it can generate select queries while a stored proc may or may not return data. If you have a stored proc that you want to use as the source for a model in import mode you can just specify the EXEC command plus any parameters by choosing Get Data -> SLQ Server and then clicking on the Advanced Option and entering the command to call the stored proc in the box for the SQL Statement.
