Gauges question with Excel configuration

Hi, 

 

I just begin with Power Bi and I looked on Microsoft Tutorials for few days.

 

I have questions, maybe easy, but maybe someone could illuminate me please.

 

At the beginning I obtain data from an Excel.

 

When I want to make a gauge for example in Power BI Desktop, I need to put a minimum and a maximum, however I don't want to put manually figures. Effectively, I need to inject a case from Excel for example C3. In fact, my gauge will already use same Excel configuration so already use C3 for other tables and C3 could change any weeks after hence the interest to put C3 and not manually. 

 

I try to do that with the function new measure but unsuccessful...

    HI DavidB023,

     

    Power bi not support auto load data to visuals, you need to manually create visuals with columns.
    In addition, if you mean create gauges visual with dynamic target, you can write measures and drag them into target fields.

      Thanks for your answer, so I will look for another solution... 

      But If I create a passerel ( with Gateway) between a local server ( with Excel or Access data) and my dashboard, and I manage visuals with columns, does my visual will be actualize if somebody change a value in Excel/Access data on the local server ? 

       

      To be more precise, for example I put an Excel data on a repport  and I manage visual with its values. Without look for Excel ranges, I make a precise link between my Excel and my repport to manage an actualization. Does my visual/repport will be actualized if somebody changes Excel values in few month ?
