Gateway refresh issue

Hi everyone. Why would gateway (personal mode) fail to refresh at 6 am having done it for at least 6 times prior to the failure? Data is on premises (not onedrive). Is there some kind of limit on number of refresh attempts?

Hi @Anonymous ,

Based on the error message, your personal gateway is offline. It means powerbi.com is unable to connect to machine on which your gateway is running.

• Ensure machine (or laptop) on which you've installed personal gateway is not sleep or turned off and is on connected to the network. When installing personal gateway you would have a little warning that would have said if laptop goes to sleep mode or turned off personal gateway will be offline.

• And please check the gateway in settings is running.

But seems like the machine on which Gateway is installed is not reachable of Gateway is running
