Looking out for some help on creating something similar to shown below, In tableau it is very easy to show one measure using Bar chart and other measure using Gantt chart through Dual axis.
Wanted to do something similar in Power BI . But PowerBI does not provide any direct visual to achive the same.
Anybody with any workaround to achieve this kind of visual would be very helpful.
on x axis i would want show dates or category and then bar chart for one measure and want to use gantt for other measure.
In Power BI you do this via a combo column and line chart. Make the line invisible and make the markers look like horizontal lines.
Hi Ibendlin, Thanks for your response. I have tried that but it doesn't look good when data gets filtered out and lets say we have two bars .
In that case width of bars looks more compare to markers.
As shown below size of marker is quite small compare to bars.
Wondering if we have any other alternate to this.
I think this looks pretty good.
If you need something fancier look for custom visuals or create your own, for example with Deneb.
