Gantt Chart by MAQ error on Oct 2017 desktop version

I have been successfully using Gantt Chart by MAQ Software on the Oct 2017 desktop version -- the outdated version is due to a restriction posed by my company.  Now I am seeing an error of "Your verion of Power BI Desktop doesn not supprot this custom visual". Anyone else having the same issue? 

@MAQ is there a way to make your custom visual backward compatible?

Hello @Anonymous,

We have updated Gantt Chart by MAQ Software to use the latest Power BI developer API v2.1.0.

Hence, to use the updated visual you will need to update your Power BI desktop.

The problem is that I am restricted to use the Oct '17 version because of its compatibility with an internal server. Thanks for the reply. I will have to find a way to get around it.
