GA4 to Power BI

Hello all,   I have an issue with GA4 data loading into Power BI, it is taking absolutely hours to load even the smallest amount of data that I need. I need country, landing page , date and session...

Hi Mart1980  Seems like the 2.0 beta connector is still presenting some issues. I've had many issues sometimes with my connection or my data. As a workaround, maybe you can try to test your connection with a 3rd party tool. I've tried windsor.ai, supemetrics and funnel.io. I stayed with windsor because it is much cheaper so just to let you know other options. In case you wonder, to make the connection first search for the GA4 connector in the data sources list:

 

 

After that, just grant access to your GA4 account using your credentials, then on preview and destination page you will see a preview of your G4 fields:

 

 

There just select the fields you need. Finally, just select PBI as your data destination and finally just copy and paste the url on PBI --> Get Data --> Web --> Paste the url. You'll easily be able to pull the fields you need.

    Hello, 

     

    thank you for this. I have found windsor myself and started to test it, however i am finding that when data is broken down it starts to mismatch a lot. Do you have any recommendations how to break the data for ga4 to bring the most accurate possible data in ( i am looking for sessions by country and page type, conversions, landing page +query by channel ) and also if you have any recommen For google search console as I am finding the same issue but ideally would need that clicks imps ctr and position by country to be accurate and then splitting by page and urls i understand there might be some discrepancies

      Sessions is a metric that tends to give wrong numbers when gets broken down by other dimensions. For example if you have sessions and then you break it down by country or page type, it is most likely you'll get wrong numbers because some sessions can be duplicated or be counted more than once. So, basically I'll suggest that if you work with sessions, try to add less fields as possible in the break down. With GSC you shouldn't have any issue with clicks, impressions or ctr so you can break them down by country
