Fuzzy matching with Power BI

Hello

Is it possible to do fuzzy matching like the below?

IBM

I.B.M

International Business Machines

International Business Machines Corporation

International Business Machines Corp.

IBM Corp

I.B.M Corp

etc

I am looking to use it for international corporate names so if there is a specific solution for that it would be great but I would also like a more general solution i.e.:

OPD

Outpatients Department

Out Patients Department

Outpatients Dep

etc

Hi @UsePowerBI ,

According to my test, even if we set the similarity threshold to 0, it will still not achieve a correct match. 

   

It is recommended that you create a transformation table and then use it in the fuzzy merge options.

@v-kkf-msft  thanks but it will not be possible to create the intermediate transformation table. I am looking for a solution to directly do the fuzzy matching with the best success.
