Fuzzy Matching is slow

I'm matching 300K addresses against a table of 80k addresses.

All columns that arent needed have been removed.

It seems slow. Is there anyway to improve performance? I've 8 gb ram on this machine.

It could be a few hours at the rate its running on this machine. Would it be much faster on the service?

Hi @StephenF ,

To make it work faster, you can try updating to the latest version.

And you may refer to this document about how to improve the performance in power query.

And you can refer to the following posts that may be helpful to you:

Solved: Buffered lists with List.Buffer() - Microsoft Power BI Community

Solved: Measuring similarity between strings - Microsoft Power BI Community
