From where else can I deploy a custom tooltip?

I have a custom tooltip (report page) that I deployed on a combination stacked column and line chart which only has a single column (stacked by a categories legend).  The custom tooltip is a separate chart that gives a historical trend of the column and its spend categories.  I would like to apply the tooltip "nearby" so that it doesn't intrude on other parts of the report page as hover over the single column.  I tried duplicating the chart and then reducing it down to its icon, but then the tooltip doesn't work.  It only works when hovering over the actual chart columns, which certainly makes sense when you have a multi-column chart.  I don't want to do a bookmark because I won't retain any filters that got me to this point (or I don't know how to retain said filters).  And from what I have tried, I cannot apply any tooltip report page to any plain shape/object like a square or circle.  My only option appears to be using a header icon, but then the chart pops up in the middle of the page because that particular icon's location is not adjustable.  Just checking to see if there is any other option that I may not know about.  Thanks in advance for any ideas.

Hello @MarkD1722,

Using a card visual, transparent button overlays, or adjusting visual header icons are your best options for deploying custom tooltips "nearby" without interfering with other parts of the report.

These methods allow for more flexibility as you can place tooltips exactly where you need them.

Hope this helps.
