I know this is an requested feature and I have seen "workarounds", but unless I am missing something, there is not a way to get what I need.
My report has only data. There are no calculations or summary values.
There are more colums in the data, but this should give you the idea.
I want to freeze the Status column. The suggestions I found all seem to deal with summary values or calculations. The matrix option only allows for summarized values in the colums - First Value, Last Value, Count (Distinct), Count. I need this data to appear exactly like it would in Excel if you freeze the first column.
Has anyone come up with a work-around for this?

Hi @DanielRichard
Since we have a "tabular layout" of the matrix you can get with it the "flat" table view with a freezing row headers.
I don't think there are better alternatives for your request with the core visuals.

The combination of scrolling and freezing is currently available only when scrolling is for measures, not for categories.
This means that all categories need to fit within the visible area of the table. Since the matrix is designed for aggregations, there is no way to address each category separately.

Sorry, but I must have missed something. the tabular view works, but now I don't see a horizontal scroll bar and I can't even "tab" over to the hidden columns.
I used your pbix file and created the report layout that I used for my data (I didn't see the one you had in your screenshot).
