Freeze column in table

Is it still not possible to freeze a column within a table?  I know I can create a matrix but I'm surprised this functionality still seems to not exist.  I am trying to avoid the matrix visual because some of my columns are text based and I haven't found a way to appropriately display those in a matrix.

    I'm afraid it is still impossible currently. This is a similar idea you can vote to improve Power BI.

      Icey ah yes I have already voted!  this functionality would definitely be nice to have - thanks for confirming it's still not around.

    Try to use a Matrix as a visual, Matrix freezes the first column of the table.
