Formatting grand total in matrix

I'm having a problem with formatting the column grand totals in a matrix and can't seem to find a way to format the grand total cell in the same way as the others as per the screenshot.  Its probably something very simple but i cant quire figure it out.

  • Hi PaisleyPrince

The only way I've been able to achieve this is by using conditional formatting on the total and applying background color to the row subtotal/total label

I believe you followed these steps but missed the last step

    1-Select the Matrix visual.

2-Go to the Format your visual (paint brush icon) pane.

3-Go to Visual > Cell elements.

4-Select the Series (measure) you are working with from the dropdown.

5-Turn on Background color or Font color and click the FX button.

6-Crucial Step: In the Conditional Formatting dialog, change the "Apply to" setting to "Totals

7-only" (or "Values and totals" depending on your version).

    Missed Step

8-Go to Columns Grand Total and then apply background color

  • Hi PaisleyPrince , Could you please clarify the formatting for the total you are looking for? Is it the black background color that you need?

    Thanks

  • By default, you will see this in a matrix:

Please adjust the background to your needs!
