You could set conditional formatting in data color of bar or column when you don't have legend field in chart, you could refer to my sample for details. (I use old version of powerbi, so when you open, it will prompt version error, you could click "close" to open my sample.)

Thanks for the help, @camargos88
The conditional formatting window gives me both minimum and maximum options. I need to change the color of only the maximum value and the rest should stay at default color.
I stumbled around but can't seem to find any option or a workaround. Any suggestions?
