Forecasting tab not available

Hi,

 

Even after updating september version and restarting both the application and desktop, i'm not getting the forecasting tab in the analytics pane. Kindly help.

    I figured it out, it was because of the fact, that I had mlutiple lines in visual. When I took away the Legend, Forecast option has shown in Analytics pane.

    Hi Vaishnavi_M. I have the same issue. I have controled version of PBI, Preview list and all the stuff needed by documentation and I still do not see the Forecasting in Analytics pane.

    Vaishnavi_M Forecasting is only availabe with Line chart so if you're using Column chart you won't see the option.

      Your line chart also must have a numeric or date value as the x-axis, not text. Month, for instance, won't work, but month number would.

        PavelR Vaishnavi_M You will only get forecasting option when on x-axis you've used column that is of type datetime / number, it won't work with other data type columns. Also it requires more than six data points on x-axis to forecast.

    I am having an issue with the forecasting tab not being available.

     

    I have tried changing the x axis type from "categorical" to "continuous" but it automatically switches back to "categorical" anyone know what I need to do to change this?
