Forecasting qualification expiry dates

Hi Everyone,

 

I have a table that contains a list of names, qualifications and the date these qualifications expire. I then have a slider with the values of 0 to 11 months, which I plan to use for forecasting the number of people with in date qualifications.

 

My inital plan was to use a calculated column to remove a certain amount months from the date value, dependant on the slider value, and then filter my visuals to show the dates which are still in the future. However, calculated columns are not dynamic. 

 

Is there any way I can achieve my desired result?

    I also tried this solution but got stuck again:

     

    I've created a new column for each of my slider values, subtracting a month each time.

    ExpiryExpiry - 1Expiry - 2Expiry - 3
    12/03/202212/02/202212/01/2022

    12/12/2021

     

    I then created the following measure:

     

    SWITCH(

    SELECTEDVALUE([slider],

    0,

    SUM([Expiry]),

    1,

    SUM([Expiry - 1])

    ...)

     

    This works great but, since the values are being returned from a measure, they are no longer acting as dates and I am unable to use relative filtering.
