Forecasting not available in Analytics

Hello - I have a dataset that is all in the same year and amounts by month but for some reason Forecasting is not an option under Analytics. I have data through September and would like to forecast through the rest of the year. "Date" is in the x-axis and "Amount in the "Value" field and nothing is in the "Legend" field.

    Hi nlui,

     

    In your scenario, please make sure the date column you provided in X-axis is Date data type.

    The feature is only available in line chart visual currently. Please use line chart visual and set the X-axis type is Continuous instead of Categorical.

    Also make sure run the latest Power BI desktop.

      Thanks Quiyun - the date column is formatted as "Date" and it is currently in a line chart but the X-axis does not allow me to change the type to "Continuous". When I select "Continuous" it reverts back to "Categorical". I am running Version: 2.51.4885.701 of Power BI Desktop, any ideas?

    Has this issue been solved in the mean time. I'm dealing with the same problem.  Direct connection to SSAS, a field with type 'Date' on the X axis and I can't set the option to continious.
