Helper VForecasting in a line chart
Hi,
Has this feature been turned off? Years since I used it, but have a line chart, Date field filtered to month in the X axis and £ measure in Y axis and nothing showing up in the Analytics pane for forecasting. Not entirely sure where I'm going wrong here but all documentation about forecasting seems to not have been updated for years, so wondering whether it's still available?

A few reasons why you might not be seeing the forecasting option:
The data you're using might not have enough historical data points to enable forecasting. The forecasting feature requires a minimum of 12 data points to generate a forecast.
The date field you're using might not be recognized as a date/time field by Power BI. Make sure that the data type of your date field is set to Date/Time in the Fields pane.
The forecasting option might be disabled for your report or organization.
There might be a compatibility issue with the version of Power BI you're using. Try updating to the latest version of Power BI to see if this resolves the issue.
You can also try using a custom forecasting algorithm by creating a forecasting model in Excel or R, and then importing the model into Power BI.
