Forecasting for office performance

Hi everyone.

I am a novice with Power BI and hope to get some help on this.

I am trying to get my data to show some predictive analysis with forecasting. I have multiple office locations, and I can't seem to get the forecasting tab to show.

I tried not using date hierarchy, making the offices as site multiples and it doesn't show. Is there anything obvious I am (or might) be doing wrong?

Just want to be guided in the right direction.

Thanks!

  • Hi,

I am not sure if I understood your question correctly, but please check the below picture and the attached pbix file.

If you can try to change the type of the X-Axis of the visualization to Continuous, like the below image, Forcast menu shows up in the bottom of the format pane. Please also check the Microsoft Link down below. Some of limitations are described in the documentation.

Use the Analytics pane in Power BI Desktop - Power BI | Microsoft Learn

Hi Jihwan, thanks for the reply. I do have the x-axis as continuous. I checked that at first thinking the data might be read as categorial. Here's an image as a reference.

I'll re-read the limitations you linked
