Forced Selection in Slicer for Latest Date/Current Year selection

Hi Team,

I have a requirement in my report that i need to give a forced selection of Year which i can do with

chicklet Slicer, but the forced Year selection should be Max or current Year.

My data source is SSAS Direct query so a limitation to create custom fields or table is there.

Kindly suggest if any workaround can be done.

Hi @vedansh,

I would suggest you create a calculated column in SSAS model via Visual Studio to decide which rows are in current year (maximum year). After you connect live to this model in Power BI desktop, drag this calculated column to Report/ Page level filter pane and set filter to only return rows in current year (maximum year).
