Force slice to apply filter based on available values

Hello,

I have a requeriment to calculate a KPI based on 2 different dates:

- Completion Due Date

- Process Complete Date

When opening the report, Completion Due Date should be selected by default to current month onwards, and Process Complete Date should be selected to the current month only

I've created 2 slicers, that only interact with the card where the KPI is showed, because these slicers and date selection should not affect other tables or KPIs in the page.

Both slicers are filtered by default using relative date for the specifications explained before:

However, these slicers are not applying any filter to the measure based on the available values. It seems the filter on the visual of the filter is just restrinying the values available in the slicer, but not filterting the KPI.

I need to manually select the slicer to force the filter on the KPI

Is there any way to force the slicers to apply the filtering on the KPI?

I tried to modify the KPI using filtering with selectedValue from the slicers but doesn't work neither as by default nothing is selected when the report is opened.

Data model is just a plain table where both tables and data is available.

Thanks in advance for any suggestion that may work!

  • humid , when initially it expanded to full range, it will not apply filter. To any range below the full range it should apply a filter. Unless interaction is off
