Force numeric measures to show the "en-US" locale format

Hello everybody,

I want to show the US number format, independently of which Browser language the reader has set. I have several measures in different number formats, but here I will use my measure "Gross margin for 2023" as an example.

This is the current measure and its format:

With English browser settings it looks fine:

With German settings it jumps to the German decimal separator:

To solve this issue, I tried to use a dynamic format string:

FORMAT(SELECTEDMEASURE(), "0.0%;-0.0%;0.0%", "en-US")

Unfortunately, this gives me not my expected result, but instead:

For your information, my regional settings are all set to "English (United States)":

Any help would be highly appreciated, because I don't have a clue how to fix this...

Thank you in advance!

Thank you, I will give it a try. I didn't know that it is so complicated to force the decimal separator. New challenge 😉

Hi @scoobydoo

You can refer to the following meaure

Measure=SUBSTITUTE(FORMAT(FORMAT([Gross Marign for 2023],"0.00%"),""),",",".")

That will work if you really want to force the way it looks. But remember that your Measure then returns a text.

Thank you, but that is the problem. I need it as a number 😕
