Fixed problem "An Error occured while rendering the report"
Hi All,
I encountered this problem/error and I've solved it for myself. I've seen more people struggle with the problem. I was not sure where to share my experience with this problem, excuse me if I posted it in the wrong section.
I was working on a report and I was creating a dimension table. I pulled in a few date fields from another table which was working fine. After that, I tried to pull in another date field and that's when the error came up. It only happened when I pulled in that specific date field. The table I was getting the data from had two columns: Date and Date&Time. I tried pulling in both columns instead of one and that's when it worked. I didn't get the error anymore. I think something went wrong with automatic date hierarchy detection from PBI?
Hope this helps to others.

Hi, DeBIe
It’s my pleasure to answer for you.
According to your description,It’s not clear why this problem occurred, but it’s not like a program problem.Could you mind providing your practice and some sample data to explain your behavior in detail?Errors between data types and table relationships may also cause problems. You can check if the latest version of desktop is installed.
If it doesn’t solve your problem, please feel free to ask me.
Best Regards
Janey Guo
