    dapperscavenger  use SAMEPERIODLASTYEAR i.e 

    YTD Sales Outlook = TOTALYTD([Sales Outlook], DimDate[LongMonthYear], "06/30" )
YTD Sales Outlook last year = 
CALCULATE ( 
            [YTD Sales Outlook],
             SAMEPERIODLASTYEAR ( DimDate [Date] )
)
