Find significant change in a row

Hello everybody!

I am trying to figure out how to identify significant change (increase or decrease) of datapoint in a row. We are dealing with data on weekly basis and I would like to see if one customer's sales increase or decrease in a row over 3 weeks significantly. I couldn't find something like this yet on the forum.

Here's an example of the data (but we mave much more weeks in reality). Green/red indicated what I would like to identify in PowerBI.

This is what I would like to achieve as outcome:

Thank you very much for help or any hints!

Thank you very much for the suggestion!

I am still new to Power BI and try to understand how the solution works:

      • What does the NewIndex column do?
      • Can the solution matrix be modified to not to split in columns per starting week, so that "week 4", "week 6" and "-70%" would appear in the same columns as week 2?

Thank you very much for help!

        Hi jgc ,

The NewIndex groups these values that have the same trend. Then we can count the trends easily. If the count is bigger than 3, it's the one you want.

The NewIndex 2 and 4 mean there are two trends (increase/decrease). Please refer to the below image to modify the result.
