Hi Folks,
has anyone had experience creating profit and loss accounts within Power BI ? We are currently using XL Connect but I would like to move across to Power BI. On inital investigation it looks as if BI will still be a bit cumbersome in terms of formatting, rolling up sub totals etc but there seems to be limited info online .
Many thanks
Richard

Hi @Richard76 , yes, I have developed multiple accounting reports in Power BI. Here is an example: https://vidi-corp.com/cases/accounting-metrics-analysis/
You can also find some free accounting Power BI templates here: https://vidi-corp.com/product-connect-quickbooks-online-to-power-bi/
Richard, try the ValQ visual for Power BI - it lets you report financial statements in Power BI without any DAX or writing code. A major benefit is that you have the option to also do planning & simulations based on it. You can download the sample .pbix file here
Thanks for your help folks
