Filters Pane

Hi,

As I add visual to the page, a few filters are automatically added to the Filters pane. Just wondering how PB decides which filters to be added to the Filter Pane, as not all fields are added. Any suggestions?

Thanks

CF

    Hi spagad6263

You can enter specific field in this blank box.

    For example:

    I have a table:

When I type in Annette Boone and select the Apply, the result is as follow:

  • Below is an example - Filter = "Request". If I expanded the definition, there is nothing in the value field. Looks like this is just a "dummy" one and can be removed. Anyone else has come across the similar queries? Thanks

    Hi spagad6263

When you add a visual (such as a chart or table) to a report canvas in Power BI, PB automatically adds a filter to the Filters pane for each field used in that visual.
These filters can be categorized as visual-level, page-level, or report-level filters.
Visual-level filters apply only to the specific visual they’re associated with.
Page-level filters affect all visuals on a particular report page.
Report-level filters impact the entire report.

Can you advise my second question about the "dummy" filter with attached image?
