Filtering the data that is displayed in the Visual Filtering component.

Hi All, I am a Dynamics 365 developer creating a dashboard in Power BI and could use some tips.

 

I am wondering how can I display a filtered data set in a filter component. Ie have a drop down of contacts where first name = "Richard".

 

At the moment the only solution I can see is copy the contacts data set, filter it by firstname="richard" and use that dataset on the filter component.

    Hi dd1234,

     

    What do you mean about "filter component", is it the Slicer visual or the Visual Level Filter pane?

     

    In addition, could you be more precisely with your issue by posting some sample/data and screenshots, so that we can better assist on it? :smileyhappy:
