Filtering over multiple related tables

Hi,

For this model, I have a few questions;

If I want to know the count(ManufactTable[ProductName]) per DimRegion[Continent].

Does this give the same result as when ManufactTable and DimRegion have a direct connection?

If not, what is precisely the difference?

    I would prefer to establish a direct relationship between ManufactTable and DimRegion table.
